Exercise caution in your life

Instructions

  1. Reflect on how often you exercise caution in your life.
Think of past situations that required you to be cautious. It could be when you need to plan carefully before carrying out an action, or the moment when you must choose friends and business associates, etc. Reflect on these situations and rate how cautious you are from 1-10.
  2. Identify where you can use more caution in your life.
Are you letting others be friends with you instead of choosing your friends? Are you saying “yes” to commitments before really thinking about whether you want to take them on? Are you overloading yourself and on the brink of burnout?
  3. Write down one area of your life that you want to be more cautious in.
Choose a specific area and practice for one month. After that, you can choose another area or keep focusing on the same area.
  4. Practice!
When making decisions, practice using caution by evaluating the positive and negative consequences of each option. Then ask yourself, “Which of these options is aligned with my purpose in life?”
