Eat three servings of other fruits.

According to one of the biggest studies funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the leading cause of death in the United States is the American diet. Low fruit consumption was the area most lacking in American’s diets.


Examples: Apples, avocados, bananas, dates, figs, grapefruit, kiwis, lemons, limes, mangos, oranges, peaches, prunes, watermelon.

Daily recommendation: 3 servings per day

Serving size:

  • 1 medium-sized fruit
  • 120g cut-up fruit
  • 40g dried

Note: Avoid juicing as this removes fiber and a lot of nutrition. Eat whole fruit.
