Don’t neglect important areas of your life.

Obsessing over certain areas of your life and neglecting others will eventually backfire and will lead to a decline in performance. Striving for balance in terms of the quality, not quantity, of time you set aside for each area will make you feel more complete, happy, and satisfied.


  1. Check your work-life balance at the end of the week
    On a scale of 1 to 10, rate your satisfaction in the major life areas: health, family, friends, intimate relationship, mission/work, finances, adventures, hobbies, spirituality, and emotions. Set specific goals for developing the areas you’re not quite satisfied with.
