Develop consciousness by cultivating awareness of the body


  1. Sit comfortably and close your eyes.
  2. Raise your hand in front of you to your face level and gently stretch your hand’s muscles. 
    The actions are gentle, not powerful.
  3. Focus on the sensations as keenly as you can.
    Become aware of the twitch of every single muscle in your hand while stretching the hand fully. When you notice the minutest sensations in your hand, you are ready to do this for the entire body.
  4. Gently stretch each muscle in the body and observe the sensations.
    Subtle movements - very gently extend every fiber in your body and observe every sensation.
  5. Continue to cultivate awareness of the body.
    This helps release chemical deposits in the body that have built up over time and increases your awareness of your actions and thoughts.
