Develop an empowering vocabulary.

Instructions

  1. Commit to carefully choosing the words you use.
Remember that word choice can significantly impact your feelings and emotions.
  2. Choose words with minor emotional intensity to describe your emotion when feeling negative.
For example, instead of saying you feel stuck, say that you’re “nearly finding a solution.”
  3. Use words that make you feel better.
For example, if you’re feeling alright, say that you’re feeling “fantastic” instead of just feeling “okay.”
