Determine the feeling you’re after.

“Willful feeling” is when you determine what feelings you want to have. It puts you in control of spontaneous emotions. You consciously choose how to feel, and it gives you more control over life. You become proactive and don’t let life’s circumstances dictate what emotions you experience.


  1. Define how you want to feel entering and leaving the situation.
    Consciously generate feelings by controlling your thinking. Ask yourself, “What exactly do I want to feel when...?” Don’t let emotions rise up instinctively. Choose and cultivate the feelings you wish to consistently experience in life.
