Cope with criticism

Instructions

  1. Change your perspective of criticism.
Accept the criticism for what it is: a person's perspective that is formed by their own experiences, not the reality or facts about you.
  2. Use the criticism to your advantage.
Develop the capacity to accept and use criticism while keeping a feeling of self-worth. Learn from critical comments that may help you progress or make a positive change.
  3. Accept or reject critiques.
Differentiate between critiques you should take and learn from and those you should dismiss. Determine which critiques mean most to you so you know when to reflect, learn, or let go. Accept and learn from only significant people's critiques.
