Control the influence of your external programmers

Instructions

  1. Choose your friends carefully.
Your friends are one of your top programmers, as they can influence your thoughts, feelings, and attitudes in a big way. Therefore, choosing friends that align with your positive programming is important. Ask yourself: Which of your friends are your biggest supporters, the ones who want to encourage you to be the best version of yourself? These will be the ones that you will want to spend the most time with.
  2. Create a strong positive self-talk that will counteract any negative family member.
Your family plays a significant role in shaping your beliefs and behaviors, as the experiences and emotions you have with them can leave a strong impression. While family can be a source of support, you may also encounter family members who have a toxic influence on you. In these situations, it's best to minimize your interaction with them and to use positive self-talk to keep yourself from reacting emotionally.
  3. Disregard any opinion or idea that doesn’t align with your thinking.
You are surrounded by people who are always giving you their opinions. But you can decide which opinions you want to accept and which ones you don’t. The next time someone says: “I think you should do this.” make a conscious choice to think for yourself and ask yourself, “What does my mind tell me is best for me?”
  4. Become actively aware of the content you are consuming.
The content on television is made to influence people’s beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors, making it a top programmer of your mind. Therefore, it’s important to be aware of the shows you’re watching. Ask yourself: Why am I watching this? Is this something I want my brain to record?
