Commit to a meditation practice


  1. Make the commitment to meditate daily.
    The power of meditation unfolds through consistent daily practice. Dedicate time daily to spend in meditation. If you are beginning a meditation practice for the first time, start with no more than twenty minutes. You can increase your time in meditation as you grow in your practice. Decide what time of day will work best for you, and what the best place would be for you to meditate in silence.
  2. Embrace the right attitude for meditation.
    Mindfulness meditation is about developing awareness free from all of our mental labeling such as “good” and “bad.” We are seeking to develop pure perception through bare observation of the phenomena that arise within the session. Allow each session to unfold naturally, without striving to create a specific kind of experience.
