Close the deal

Instructions

  1. Create a completion schedule that defines a closing date for when the deal is to be concluded. Your schedule should include:
    a) Time-specific breakdown: This is a clearly defined set of dates that stipulate when aspects of a deal will come into effect.
    b) Signature closing date: This should be agreed upon between yourself and all other parties, including legal teams.
    c) Financial closing date: A date clearly agreed upon for any financial matters. This is the date by which you will receive an investor’s capital.
  2. Once the deal is agreed upon, establish an update schedule with investors.
This update could be daily, weekly, or quarterly. You may include updates on organizational changes, press coverage, business development, milestones achieved, growth, new challenges, and financials.
