Clean and organize your kitchen

Instructions

  1. Wash the dishes regularly.
Use the dishwasher often, but if you don’t have one, wash the dishes by hand. Start with the ones that are the least dirty. Follow this order: glasses and cups, scraped plates, silverware, and then pots and pans.
  2. Use cleaning tips and tricks.
Use baking soda to remove stains from countertops, a razor blade to clean a glass-top stove, and an old gift card to scrape dishes.
  3. Practice batch cooking.
Get in the habit of cooking in bulk by preparing many meals for multiple days and storing them in the freezer. Put away leftovers in containers. If you run out of containers, you should clean the fridge instead of buying more.
  4. Organize your pantry.
Put things like granola bars, pasta, and canned goods in the pantry. Focus on findability and accessibility by using a stairstep shelving. To organize your spices, use the Lazy Susans turntables.
