Choose what to do with your finite time

Instructions

  1. Write down one thing you would like to do today.
Consider the uncertainty of life and the possibility that today might be your last day. In that case, how would you spend it? Perhaps you’d like to hike and watch the sunset on the mountaintop, or you simply want to be with your kids. Whatever it is, make sure it is something that matters most to you.

  2. List down the things you would not be able to do in exchange for choosing to do that “one thing.”
Choosing what to do and what not are facts of a finite life. If you choose to spend your day writing, you have to forego many other things in exchange for it. So choose what counts to you the most right now, and every decision you’ll make will be less regrettable.

  3. Live with your decisions each day.
We always have a choice about how to live and spend our limited time. Choose what matters most to you, live with it, and seize it, even if it means forgoing all other options.
