Choose healthier animal meats or protein

Instructions

  1. Choose “humanely raised” animal products over industrially produced.
    Get acquainted with the origins of the animal food you eat. For example, industrial eggs come from chickens that live in small cages with six other chickens. The conditions are so unnatural and painful that they attack, beat each other, and rub their breasts against the cages until they are bleeding. “Humanely raised” ensures that you make morally and nutritionally wholesome choices.

  2. Try more vegetable meals.
    Try menu options with vegetable proteins like garbanzos, lentils, and black beans. Match them with rice or tortillas to make them a complete protein with all essential amino acids. Try cooking vegetable meals one or twice a week.

  3. Think of fast food as a special splurge.
    There is a big difference between a splurge and a daily habit. For many Americans, fast food has become an everyday thing. Remember how it was produced. Instead, treat it as an occasional event, once a month.
