Change your perspective on self-esteem

Instructions

  1. Believe in yourself.
    Believe (say to yourself) that everything will be fine because you have the ability to make things right. Start strengthening your sense of self-worth by treating yourself with kindness and encouraging yourself with positive ideas about your abilities and qualities (you can write this in a journal).
  2. If you don’t believe, search for evidence.
    List examples showing you are capable, valuable, courageous, etc. Write about all the times in your life when you were put in a challenging circumstance and won the battle. Write about all the things about yourself that you're proud of.
  3. Build your value according to your pieces of evidence.
    Build your self-esteem based on your list of evidence and your own values, thoughts, and beliefs, not on what other people think, believe, or say.
