Categorize your entries into tasks, events, and notes
from The Bullet Journal Method: Track the Past, Order the Present, Design the Future by Ryder Carroll
How to Apply This
-
Think about the category of each entry - is it a task, event, or note?
If it’s something to be done, it’s a task. If it’s an experience, it’s an event. If its additional information about something you don’t want to forget, it’s a note. -
Assign different bullets depending on the status of the task
Use different bullets for tasks that have been set, completed, rescheduled, etc. -
Use an empty bullet for experiences
This bullet looks like the letter “o.” -
Use a dash for notes
The dash (—) can be used to distinguish between tasks, experiences, and notes.
