Build great relationships that motivate you to work towards achieving your goals

Instructions

  1. Be yourself.
The only way to build genuine relationships is to be yourself so others will accept you for who you are.

  2. Listen to others and talk less.
You will learn a lot from them. Besides, others feel appreciated and important when you show interest in them by listening to their stories, ideas and opinions.

  3. Appreciate others.
Simple sentences like “Thank you” can make others feel valued.

  4. Admit fault when you are wrong.
When you openly admit your faults, you gain the respect of others. Besides, you become more likely to do things better or smarter the next time.

  5. Let others be themselves.
Others love to interact with people who encourage and help them, not those who love to control them.

  6. Dwell in the present.
Your past is valuable, but you do not need to dwell on it because doing so could ruin many relationships. For example, you still need to give room for business partnership even if you had been betrayed in the past by an ex-business partner.
