Break the scarcity mentality

Instructions

  1. Do a negative news detox.
If you want to know more about particular news, do your own research. Look for the facts rather than rely on other people’s opinions. This way, you’ll keep an objective view of the matter rather than be swayed by the negatively charged sensation fed to you by the talking heads on television.

  2. Seek out information about exciting new developments that could positively impact the future.
Read science magazines, watch inspiring videos about progress and innovation, and listen to podcasts from great minds who talk about solutions to problems rather than on the problems alone. What you feed your brain determines how you see the world.

  3. Surround yourself with the right kind of people.
Look for other people who are also making the paradigm shift from the scarcity to the abundance mindset and hang out with them. Association is very powerful in sustaining a newly-formed habit.

  4. Catch yourself early.
When you slip back into the scarcity mindset, gently call yourself to order. Remind yourself that you’re making that mental shift into abundance thinking, and return your focus there. Choose abundance in your thoughts, words, and intentions. In no time, it will show up in your actions.
