The perfect amount of sleep mostly depends on our beliefs. If we start believing that four hours of sleep is enough, it might be enough. It depends on our intentions, and whether we really commit to ourselves that we will wake up early, feeling energized.


  1. Just before going to bed, consciously decide how much sleep you need.
    Tell yourself that you’re getting the perfect amount of sleep.

  2. Imagine that tomorrow is Christmas Day.
    This excited feeling will give you faith that you really can wake up early in the morning and feel energized.

  3. Try different sleep durations, possibly going as low as four hours of sleep per night.
    Yes, it’s true, only four hours of sleep might be enough.
