Become a realistic thinker

Instructions

  1. Accept the truth and search for facts.
Examine and embrace the truth. Face reality and deal with it.
  2. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
Dig into the facts, think about the problem from several perspectives, and evaluate the true cost of each option.
  3. Face the worst-case scenario.
Consider what may be the worst-case scenario. If you’re in business, for example, assume what could happen if your sales start to drop. What if your customer refuses to pay you? What if your volunteers backed out? What happens if the market collapses? This will help you to be ready for it in case it happens.
  4. Synchronize thoughts and resources.
Write down your goals and realistic resources that you have. This will help you become aware of the differences between your wishes and reality and clearly see what you need to improve to achieve your goals.
