Become a business writer

Instructions

  1. Interview experts before you begin writing.
For example, interview the engineers who conceived a new system to tell you how it works in their own words.

  2. Write in the first person.
Use “I”, “We” and “Us” instead of your business name. This makes your writing more human and credible to your business stakeholders.

  3. Keep your writing simple.
Avoid using pretentious language, or language your clients may need to translate. For example, instead of writing “We have the monopoly to produce plastic bags in this region” you can write “we are the only producers of plastic bags in this region”.

  4. Be yourself.
This will help you write in simple yet correct English that will make you stand as a real person among the robots.
