Be self-determined

Instructions

  1. Write down all the habits that are making you less self-determined.
    Perhaps you often make excuses, are indecisive, or keep forming opinions without facts. Be honest with yourself and write them down.
  2. Write down all the habits that are making you more self-determined.
    It could be taking responsibility for your life, making decisions quickly, practicing self-control, etc. Take time to reflect on your habits and be completely honest with yourself.
  3. Reflect on your current level of self-determination.
    How happy are you with your habits that impact the level of your self-determination? What habits would you want to change or nurture to become more self-determined? Write your answers down in your journal.
  4. Practice!
    Changing habits and ways of thinking takes time and dedication! Be patient with yourself as you reframe thoughts and habits. And, even if you are feeling self-determined and like you don’t need to change anything, you still must practice! Self-determination takes lifelong work and dedication. When you stop practicing, you risk losing your self-determination.
