Be curious

Instructions

  1. Look within the unknown.
We usually follow the normal path and don’t venture outside of it. Nonetheless, walking into the dark and trying to find the light is the best way to innovate and create something the world has never seen before.
  2. Have redundancies.
For aerospace, redundancies refer to a backup created to avoid a single point of failure that can compromise an entire mission. For example, a spacecraft has multiple computers that make decisions to vote for the majority. In case one of the computers fails, the others can outvote it. It is generally useful to have redundancies as they can provide a backup plan in case something goes wrong.
  3. Pay attention to anomalies.
Anomalies can be the key to making new breakthroughs. Clyde Tombaugh showed how his curiosity to investigate the unusual, along with a passion for looking at the sky, led to a discovery that changed our understanding of our solar system.
