  1. You can choose how you perceive certain events and you can always choose to be virtuous.
    Has someone insulted/ignored you? It is not under your control for that person to act as you would like. But you can control how you react to it. Our minds have great power and we completely control our thoughts and actions.
  2. Whenever in doubt if you can face a difficult situation, recite the following quote as a mantra: 
    You have power over your mind, not over external events." Realize this, and you will find strength within yourself to face any obstacle.
