Instructions

  1. Recognize your need to feel special.
    Take a moment to reflect on your desire to feel special and recognized. Recognize that while it's natural to seek validation, everyone deserves the same respect and acknowledgment as you.
  2. Be aware of narcissistic tendencies.
    Be mindful of any self-absorbed or domineering behaviors. Notice moments when you feel easily irritated or dismissive of others' viewpoints. Make a conscious effort to cultivate humility and foster genuine connections.
  3. Practice humility through service.
    Engage in regular volunteer work, even if it's just an hour a week. Consider participating in a volunteer mission to a place like Haiti for a more immersive experience. Reflect on your own blessings and acknowledge how you may have taken them for granted.
  4. Develop empathy.
    Cultivate empathy by actively listening and paying close attention to non-verbal cues, such as body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions. Ask thoughtful questions to ensure you understand the emotions and perspectives of others better.
