Focus on what really matters

Instructions

  1. Trim down your goals and objectives.
Keep the number of your team objectives small — the initiatives that make a real difference. There’s always a lot more that can be achieved but you must remember that if you try to focus on everything, you end up focusing on nothing.

  2. Communicate with clarity.
Ensure that your top-line goals and objectives are understood by your team, and throughout the organization. Communicate them consistently. When you’re tired of saying it, people are starting to hear it.

  3. Track 3-5 metrics as your key results
Measure for success with earth-bound and metric-driven key results. These should include hard numbers for one or more gauges such as: revenue, growth, active users, quality, safety, market share, and customer engagement.
