Evaluate a business’ effectiveness in creating customer engagement through social media


  1. Get your phone, a piece of paper and a pen.
    Alternatively, you can use any gadget that is connected to the internet.

  2. Open your social media account where you think local businesses are most active.

  3. Choose a local business you can find on your chosen social media account.
    It’s best if you select a business you’re most familiar with.

  4. Go to the social media page/account of your chosen business.
    Scroll down their page and observe its content.

  5. Evaluate its effectiveness in creating customer engagement by answering these questions:
    Write your answers down. 
     - What types of content are they producing?
    It could be informative, entertaining, persuasive, etc. 
     - Is the content timely and relevant?
     - How does it manage its content?

  6. Review your answers.
    Feel free to write more observations as you scroll down on their page.

  7. Based on your observations, do you think they effectively create customer engagement? Why or why not?
    Explain your opinions to assess your understanding of effective customer engagement.
