Apply the "Law of Three" to your life.
from Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time by Brian Tracy
The Law of Three will help you narrow down the tasks and goals you set for yourself to those that will have the greatest positive impact on your life.
How to Apply This
-
In 30 seconds, write down your three most important goals in life right now.
You can expand this exercise to identify your three most important goals in specific areas of your life—for example, your business or career goals, your family or relationship goals, your financial goals, your health goals, your personal and professional development goals, your social and community goals, etc. -
Organize each of the three goals by priority.
Make plans to accomplish them, and work on these plans each and every day. -
Determine the three most important tasks you do in your work.
Ask yourself, “If I could do only one thing all day long, which one task would contribute the greatest value to my career?” Do this exercise two more times to identify the three most important tasks you do in your work. -
Concentrate on these three tasks single-mindedly.
