Regain your personal power


  1. Acknowledge the amount of power you are giving away.
    Take a moment to reflect on how much power you are unintentionally giving away to others. Identify areas where you feel you're giving away too much power and the specific situations or individuals involved. Then, write down the impact it has on your well-being and relationships.
  2. Define your boundaries.
    Clearly outline your personal boundaries by identifying what behaviors, actions, or treatment you will no longer tolerate. Write them down and make them specific, so you have a clear understanding of what is acceptable and what is not.
  3. Communicate your boundaries.
    Take proactive steps to communicate your boundaries to the people involved. Clearly express your expectations and let them know how you wish to be treated. Be assertive, confident, and respectful when communicating your boundaries.
