According to the author, Cal Newport, “in a business setting, without clear feedback on the impact of various behaviors to the bottom line, we will tend toward behaviors that are easiest at the moment.” In other words, when you don’t have systems for productive activities, you will easily give in to distractions. So always measure your progress in order to become productive and successful.

    Create your own feedback system by tracking the output of your work. Use a concrete number of productive hours, sales, money, etc. and identify how these factors affect the quality and efficiency of the work that you produce.
